Our story
Firesteel Co. was founded in 2017 by animal lover Austin Scherr. At the age of 5, Austin could’ve told you she would work with animals one day. Whether a veterinarian, breeder, rescuer, trainer, groomer, or zoo keeper, the goal has always been to provide quality care and love to animals. Austin has been working with animals since she was fourteen years old; it is not only her passion but her purpose.
Since completing her dog grooming certification in 2015, Austin has put her skills to work at a grooming shop, as an assistant manager at a dog kennel, and as a brand ambassador for a marketing company. These experiences have shaped and forged her business. In 2024, Austin enrolled at Animal Behavior College for the second time to become a certified dog trainer.

We care about your pets
At Firesteel Co. we put your pet first. We are dog owners ourselves, and understand the importance of taking excellent care of your animals. We have experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, and lizards. No pet is too small for the best in animal care. Austin is a certified dog groomer, insured and bonded for pet care, and working on her dog training certification in 2024.
