Frequently Asked Questions

If I book with you, who will care for my pet?

I, Austin, will always care for your pet. I am self-employed and dedicated to offering your pet the best care possible.

What are your qualifications?

I have worked with dogs for more than 10 years. I completed my dog grooming certification with Animal Behavior College in 2015, as well as my Pet CPR certification. I’m insured and bonded for pet care, and studying for my dog training certification in 2024.

Will you walk my dog with a retractable leash?

No, I will not. Safety is always at the forefront of my mind when I am walking your dog. This means I would never allow your dog to stray too far from me, and I would not walk them on a leash that could cause injury by snapping, jerking to stop.

Do you offer hair trimming?

Unfortunately, I no longer offer any hair trimming. Nail trims, brush-outs, and baths are available.

When I began grooming in 2015, what I enjoyed the most was working with dogs on becoming familiar and comfortable with the grooming process. I was lucky enough that my grooming service became quite popular, and I could no longer take new clients. This unfortunately meant that I couldn’t help new dogs overcome difficulties. I decided to change gears and work towards a dog training certification, so I can continue to help dogs and build my business.

Do you have any product recommendations?

Yes, I do recommend certain products. Affiliate amazon marketing is in the works! Keep an eye out for updates.

Do you offer dog training?

I do not currently offer dog training. After completing the Dog Obedience Training course with Animal Behavior College, I plan to offer a few dog training services.

Do you offer any discounts?

I do not currently offer any discounts for new or returning clients.

Do you board dogs?

No, for your dog's comfort, I travel to you for all pet sitting. Travel can be quite stressful on your dog, and I have found that pups are happier to stay home even when you are away.

Are the cameras in my home okay?

Yes! I recommend in-home cameras for anyone who has people enter their home to work with their pets. You must disclose each camera and their location, but I would encourage all clients to have cameras. It’s not a matter of trust, but of accountability.
